IPS, Inc. Acquires Professional Business Service, Inc.

Integrity Professional Solutions, Inc. announces its acquisition of Grand Rapids-based Professional Business Service, Inc., Preferred Employment Screening Profiles, Inc. and Landlord Tenant Credit Bureau of Michigan, Inc.

Grand Rapids, MI  -- Newly-formed corporation Integrity Professional Solutions, Inc. (IPS, Inc.) closed today on the purchase of Professional Business Service, Inc., which includes an accounts receivable collection agency and a background check agency for employers and landlords. The company serves a broad spectrum of area hospitals, medical professionals, health clubs, apartment complexes, publications and local shops, as well as some of the area’s largest employers.

IPS, Inc. plans to focus on the two core businesses, while growing the client base and expanding on the technology offerings for each. “There are services that nobody else offers in this area, and we look forward to being the first to provide them,” says company president Jack Gordon.

Professional Business Service, Inc. was opened in 1932 by Don Banker, and was acquired in 1970 by Fred Wilson. It is among the last of a number of prominent, independent collection agencies in West Michigan. IPS, Inc. plans to continue the proud tradition of independence and growth by focusing on customer service and bringing in state-of-the-art technology.

IPS, Inc. president Jack Gordon started and ran Front Row Marketing, LLC until its sale in late 2003. He brings over 17 years of business and marketing experience to the business.
